The Sona Group which has its headquarters in Bangalore is a well-established group in southern India. The multifaceted organization has six decades of success in ventures in the areas of textiles, garments, real estate, construction, education, plantation, facility management, IT, BPO, warehousing, vendor management inventory, sports and entertainment and so on. Founded by Kalaithanthai Karumuthu Thiagarajan Chettiar, the Sona Group has been the pioneer to house several leading software companies in its premises, the renowned Sona Towers in Bangalore. It was here, in 1984, Sona Group helped Texas Instruments set up their software unit at the sixth and seventh floors and the first private STP in 1997.

The Sona Group has built the Bosch Rexroth factory premises in 140 days with all facilities adopting the industrial engineering time planning methods.

The group, along with Khadri Constructions in Mumbai, has designed and planned G+3 apartments with large open space focusing work life balance theory. Several residential projects have been completed successfully by the group in Bengaluru namely La Citadel Apartments, Sona Residency and Sona Gardens. A pillar-less folded building of 450 feet length and 120 feet wide was also constructed for Samsung as warehouse, including several other commercial buildings.

Some of the clients of Sona Group are Toyota, Wal-Mart, JK Tyre, Apotex, Societe Generale, VSNL, Oracle, Samsung, Texas Instrument, CISCO system etc.

Presently, Sona group is capable of constructing full-fledged club houses and sports arena with all modern amenities. The Play factory brand of sports and entertainment will be offered to the end clients through a Franchisee route or directly.

The Sona Group has plans to build and develop 600 apartment complexes as plan of its construction projects with the best of designs/ amenities and in extensive landscape of a million square feet.
